The Canada Connection

Mill District is totally local to Healdsburg—a project that is for locals, run by locals, and will contribute mightily to the local community.

The developer is Replay Destinations, based in Vancouver, Canada and is much more than just a development company. They specialize in building experience-driven destinations, and cultivating communities in each of the cities it builds homes. Replay uncovers a sense of place and character to create some of the most memorable destinations in the world.

“Opportunities for learning, building connections, being active and living like locals are just as important to us as architecture, landscapes and interiors,” said Greg Ashley, chief strategy officer. “This creative approach results in experience-driven destinations that attract people who value authenticity and connections to local culture.”

This very newsletter is an example of some of the ways in which Replay connects with a local community. Our Mill District Velo is another. These are not temporary projects or flashes in the pan. We have created new entities around the new neighborhood we’re building in Healdsburg.

Replay Destinations has adopted a similar approach in other markets.

At the foot of Camelback Mountain in Phoenix, Replay is developing an exclusive new residential enclave with sweeping views of a new championship golf course. We call this property Ascent at The Phoenician.

In Park City, we are building luxury condominiums steps from the Sunrise Chairlift as part of a project we’re calling Lift. The building features thoughtfully imagined amenities, including a dramatic pool deck with private cabanas, hot tubs, an outdoor living room area, and a slope-side fire pit.

Finally, Replay is developing 875 acres of the Kohala Coast on Hawaii island to create Ka’upulehu, a private oceanfront community for those who wish to live and play well. This new neighborhood is 12 minutes from Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airport at Keahole, and it sits adjacent to the Kukio Golf and Beach Club, Four Seasons Resort Hualalai, and Kona Village.

We have other projects underway in Half Moon Bay, Antigua, and in the Bahamas. Each project is unique. Each is representative of the communities where they will thrive.

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE Year in Review

The year 2022 was a big deal for Mill District. We broke ground on Canopy, demo’d the last of the old mill buildings on the site, started selling residences and welcoming homeowners, and inspired the largest freeway processional of cement mixers Sonoma County has seen in some time.
