There’s no question that the first phase of residences at Mill District are going to be exquisite. Now the 39 homes have a name: Canopy.
This new moniker evokes the lush and shade-providing grove of heritage redwood trees behind which the residences of Canopy will be built. These towering trees are believed to be more than 100 years old and surround the 1-acre garden and green space will which be known as The Preserve.
Canopy at Mill District is designed by renowned architect Olson Kundig and will blend outdoor and indoor elements in a seamless living experience that is inviting, inspiring, and invigorating. Sliding walls of glass will open to luxuriously appointed terraces. Clean lines, warm tones and natural materials characterize the interiors. All Canopy homes will feature open-concept floor plans, Miele appliance packages in the kitchens, wine storage (wine rooms in the penthouses) and full pantries.
Canopy includes five penthouses with commanding views of The Preserve, eight Garden Homes that live like single family homes and open directly to the garden at private backyards with water features overlooking The Preserve, and 26 single-level Flats, which will range from studios to three-bedrooms plus offices.
Mike Brennan, our sales director, said the new branding captures the essence of what makes this part of Healdsburg unique. “There aren’t many redwood groves in downtown Healdsburg, and Canopy offers homeowners the opportunity to feel like they’re part of this nature,” Brennan said recently. “It’s like a bird’s-eye view, only more complete, more comprehensive, and totally luxurious.”
Canopy has it’s own brand that will soon be introduced to the public: A lone redwood, standing tall inside a thinly lined rectangular box. The box represents a window—which are prevalent at Canopy and perfectly frame one of Canopy’s signature features: a redwood tree.
